Congratulations to Linda Hartman and Stephanie Simmons! On September 24, 2014, at the Great Room at Historic Savage Mill, the American Society of Interior Designers Maryland (ASID) held a masquerade ball for its Awards Gala and Annual Meeting. Hartman won second place in the residential category for her Alpha Xi Delta Sorority House transformation, and Simmons won honorable mention in the residential category for her Rustic Elegance Farmhouse project. Each design was evaluated based on concept statements with descriptions of each project—including concept, implementation, and any other relevant theory. Included as well were floorplan drawings done with CAD, furnishings used with credits and sources, and before/after images. Keep an eye out: Home & Design Magazine will soon showcase each these award-winning projects.
