A shared community built by Koch Homes and Ryan Homes, Pondview is located in Millersville, and consists of townhomes, villas, and single-family homes. Our highlight this time around focuses on a single-family home we recently installed in June, the Madison – a four-bedroom, 2.5-bath house with 2,686-square-feet.
We focused on providing creative lifestyle examples, utilizing merchandising and artistic license to: showcase different ways homeowners could potentially use the rooms. Inspired by client preferences that were tailored to the home, we sought out crisp colors for each room to impart a specific feeling.
The game room is a bright mix of red and black to lend an energetic vibe to a fun poker theme displayed through “dice” martinis, embellished pillows on the sectional sofa and modern-style chairs, and card deck wall hangings. With a more subdued, calm effect, the master bedroom revealed a tray ceiling with color accents in navy, greys, and whites that continued and flowed throughout the room—in the bed coverings, lamps, pillows, and other instances. The child’s bedroom was purposed for a boy in a nautical flair: we were tasked by the client with representing Annapolis and water and this room was the perfect installation for it. We used wooden planks on the wall, as well as a dresser, decorations, and a bedside table, each with a maritime feel.
Who says your home office has to look like a typical office? This home contained a space open to the foyer that others could easily walk by and appreciate its chic beauty. Dark woods were complemented here by greys, off-white, and light teal. Also nearby was the sunroom, where we set our sights on a casual, outdoorsy feel with natural-looking wood, a comfortable wicker sofa, and clean geometric patterns that used multiple hues of blue.
