Our team recently returned from North Carolina, having worked on two separate models for different communities. In Cary, North Carolina, The O’Kelly model is located in the Courtyard at O’Kelly Chapel community and features the open and bright “Portico”-style home with a bonus suite. Colors highlighted were blues, aquas, with pops of yellow, and possessed metal finishes in silver. We installed a beautiful round table in the dining room, the perfect piece to juxtaposition the square space. Though materials and furnishings were within budget, we added in wonderful contemporary additions throughout to give the home a versatile look and feel.
The Marvin, aptly located in affluent Marvin, North Carolina, is an elegant courtyard home in the style of “Promenade,” and boasts a bonus suite on the second level. We used a variety of navy and teal tones, with finishes in gold to complement. For this home’s living room, we featured upholstery in beautiful solid hues as well as small stripes to tie in multiple colors. We also combined dark woods with medium tones so existing furniture in diverse tastes could be easily incorporated for potential downsizing. The end result was eclectic and fresh, yet personalized.
